Francis Has No Doubts About Global Warming, but Does Believe that the Flood May Have Been a Myth

In other words, Bergoglio has doubts about God's Covenant with Noah. He has doubts about the book of Genesis, he doubts the existence of Noah's Ark, etc.

Here is the Daily Mail's account of the relevant portion of the interview given by Francis to the journalist, Marco Pozza:

"He [Francis] also calls for patience in faith, saying that it is a natural part of belief for Christians to have doubts in their faith and in God.

But the truly faithful, he says, persevere in their beliefs despite their doubts and are in the end rewarded.

While discussing justice, Francis brings up the example of the biblical flood which destroyed the world except for Noah - who was deemed virtuous enough to survive.

The flood itself may have been a myth, Francis says, but it is used as an example to show how God uses wrath to punish injustice and right wrongs in the world.

'God's wrath is against injustice , against Satan,' he says."

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man

EUSEBIUS. Having used the example of the deluge, that no one might expect a future deluge by water, our Lord cites, secondly, the example of Lot, to show the manner of the destruction of the wicked, namely, that the wrath of God would descend upon them by fire from heaven.

Climate alarmist Bergoglio contradicts Scripture by stating that so-called global warming will cause a new apocalyptic flood

(...)   Referring to the biblical flood (which has long been understood to be a singular event), Francis said in the excerpts released by Corriere della Sera:

The Flood is the result of God's wrath, the Bible says. It is a figure of God's wrath, who according to the Bible has seen too many bad things and decides to obliterate humanity. The biblical [flood], according to experts, is a mythical tale. (Now I suppose someone will argue that the pope said the Bible is a myth!) But myth is a form of knowledge. The flood is historic, archaeologists say, because they found traces of a flood in their excavations.

Bergoglio is a master of deception, who is sinning against the Virtue of Religion by making practical jokes: "Now I suppose someone will argue that the pope said the Bible is a myth!) But myth is a form of knowledge.

Myth : an invented story, fictitious person, etc

Bergoglio shows irreverence against the Word of God while considering the fables of Mohama "Sacred"

“The sacred writings of Islam have retained some Christian teachings; Jesus and Mary receive profound veneration”

Sacred Scripture, the only Sacred book: its veracity, validity and divine inspiration

Council of Carthage II (397)
– Nothing except Canonical Scriptures can be called the ‘Divine Scriptures’
Council of Trent (Ecumenical XIX)

– If anyone should not accept the Scriptures as sacred and canonical, let him be anathema

Matthew 12:36-37

I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter; for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Irreligion

2118 God's first commandment condemns the main sins of irreligion: tempting God, in words or deeds, sacrilege, and simony.

The most serious sins against the virtue of religion are: the denial of its existence (atheism); the indifference before Him (agnosticism), the insult against God (blasphemy) and the improper use of things related to Him (sacrilege).

Matthew 5:37 Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.

Pseudo-Chrys.: Or, If you will make your peace yet in this world, you may receive pardon of even the heaviest offences; but if once damned and cast into the prison of hell, punishment will be exacted of you not for grievous sins only, but for each idle word, which may be denoted by the very last farthing

Jerome: And the meaning is; If every idle word which does not edify the hearers is not without danger to him that speaks it

Amongst laymen frivolous language is only frivolity: but it is blasphemy when it comes from the mouth of a priest. […] Thy lips have been consecrated to the Gospel of Christ. Therefore it is unlawful for thee now to use them for jesting, and a sacrilege to have them thus habitually employed. ‘The lips of the priest,’ says the Prophet, ‘shall keep knowledge, and they shall seek the law at his mouth’ (Mal 2:7). Observe that it is not jests or fables but the law of God that is to be sought from the mouth of a priest. With regard to scurrility, it is not enough to banish that from thy mouth: it must also be banished from thine ear. To allow thyself to laugh at such jokes would be a scandal; but it would be a greater scandal to repeat them for the amusement of others. (Saint Bernard. Treatise on Consideration to Pope Eugene III, Ch. XIII, 68-69
