Prevost downplays the fact that Senator Dick Durbin defies God's laws, contradicts the Church's moral teachings, and violates the fundamental right to life

The gay lobby resorts to any method to defend and cover up its allies, using insults and attacking the teachings of the Church, or targeting faithful Catholics (pro-life), all due to a lack of solid arguments.

Senator Dick Durbin supported partial-birth abortion and LGBT ideology.

To justify Cupich's evil actions
to honor radical pro-abortion, pro-LGBT Democrat senator, Prevost begins by lying.

“I am not terribly familiar with the particular case. I think it’s important to look at the overall work that a senator has done during, if I’m not mistaken, in 40 years of service in the United States Senate,” Prevost told reporters on Tuesday in response to a question from EWTN News.

Prevost continued his response: “I understand the difficulty and the tensions. But I think as I myself have spoken in the past, it’s important to look at many issues that are related to the teachings of the Church.”

“Someone who says I’m against abortion but is in favor of the death penalty is not really pro-life, someone who says I’m against abortion but I’m in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States, I don’t know if that’s pro life.”

Since Senator Dick Durbin is from Illinois, Prevost should know him well as he is a prominent public figure in his state. Furthermore, Durbin anti-Catholic agenda is well-known, and it is also public knowledge that he was excommunicated twice by his bishop.

  • Robert Prevost, born in Chicago, Illinois, served as Provincial Prior in Chicago from 1999 to 2013.

  • Richard Joseph Durbin (born in East St. Louis, Illinois) is an American politician and attorney serving as the senior United States senator from the state of Illinois, a seat he has held since 1997. This is his fifth term in the Senate.

Durbin has been barred from receiving Communion in his home diocese in Springfield, Illinois, since 2004, a ban that was reaffirmed in 2018.

Bishop Paprocki: “I was shocked to learn that the Archdiocese of Chicago plans to honor Senator Richard Durbin with a Lifetime Achievement Award through its Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity Immigration. Given Senator Durbin’s long and consistent record of supporting legal abortion — including opposing legislation to protect children who survive failed abortions — this decision risks causing grave scandal, confusing the faithful about the Church’s unequivocal teaching on the sanctity of human life.

Fr. Pavone told LifeNews, “Since U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin was elected in 1996 to serve the people of Illinois, he has supported every pro-abortion initiative to reach the Senate floor and voted against any bill that would protect the unborn, their mothers and the rights of parents of minor girls.”
In 2004, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement called Catholics in Political Life. In it, they said they should never do something like Cardinal Cupich has done. They wrote,

“The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.”

And why did Roberto Prevost, like Cupich and Bergoglio, overlook the inhumane cruelty of the death penalty promoted by this apostate senator, specifically through infanticide, also known as partial-birth abortion, which condemns an innocent child to death while still in his mother's womb?

Secondly, Jesus Christ himself taught that it is preferable for anyone who causes moral harm to children to receive the death penalty. Saint Thomas also taught on the legitimacy of capital punishment.

Romans 1:32
Although they are fully cognizant of God’s decree that those who behave in this way deserve to die, they not only do these things themselves but also praise all those who engage in such conduct.

Just as God warned Adam and Eve that they would die if they disobeyed Him, so too, in the New Testament, St. Paul warns that those who indulge in the vices of homosexuality, transsexuality, adultery, idolatry, etc., will suffer eternal death.
And this new divine warning of the punishment of death is no longer temporary, but eternal.

Therefore, St. Paul warns us that we must not be deceived by those who, like the cunning serpent, contradict God and rebel against him, who maliciously preach a false gospel to mislead people, causing them to stubbornly persist in sin and rebel against God's natural law, thus leading these unrepentant souls to eternal damnation.

Third point Saint Thomas Aquinas taught that states have the right to regulate immigration, but Prevost fails to mention that Bergoglio imposed stricter policies with penalties of up to five years in prison and fines of up to 25,000 euros for those who violate Vatican immigration laws. Currently, the Vatican has the strictest immigration policies in Europe.

Michael Haynes 🇻🇦@MLJHaynes:

Pope Francis criticized @realDonaldTrump's border policy But in December, the Vatican quietly established a base penalty of between 1 and 4 years in prison and a fine of 10,000 to 25,000 euros for anyone who illegally enters the Vatican City state.

Fourth Point. Like Judas, these traitors sell Christ and the Church for a few silver coins.

Durbin is a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, which controls how federal funds are allocated.

The website Complicit Clergy reported Jan. 25 that since 2009, Catholic agencies have received $5.2 billion from the federal government for immigration projects. The Biden Administration distributed more than half of that total: $2.9 billion. Catholic Charities obtained $2.61 billion, with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops getting $1.58 billion. Of that last figure, $1.55 billion went to the archdiocese of Washington, D.C. — where the USCCB has its headquarters.

One of the Catholic agencies receiving USAID funds was Caritas Internationalis, an international charity based in and governed by the Vatican. In July, the agency embezzled $67 million from its Luxembourg branch.

Finally, Bergoglio and Prevost have endorsed Cupich's apostasy.

When Cupich turned 75, he submitted his mandatory letter of resignation, but Bergoglio did not accept it, nor has his friend, compatriot, and former classmate Robert Prevost.

Phil Lawler: If Cardinal Cupich cannot explain the Church’s teaching on the dignity of human life, he should not be a metropolitan archbishop. (And as a matter of fact, since he is over the age of 75, his resignation should already be on the Pope’s desk.)

Describing the formation of homosexual cliques of clergy Fr. Oko says:

They know well, however, that they may be exposed and embarrassed, so they shield one another by offering mutual support. They build informal relationships reminding of a clique or even mafia, aim at holding particularly those positions which offer power and money.
When they achieve a decision-making position, they try to promote and advance mostly those whose nature is similar to theirs, or at least who are known to be too weak to oppose them.

Fr. Oko said, "Just like in the military, in the police, in the art world, once a person with homosexual tendencies gets into power, usually their subordinates are also homosexuals, therefore they start creating a pyramid, and the same thing is happening in the Church with these bishops who knowingly nominate people with the same tendencies."

Prayer to St. Michael as our Patron Saint

Saint Michael, whom I have chosen as my special patron, pray for me that I, too, may one day glorify the Blessed Trinity in heaven. Obtain for me your lively faith, that I may consider all persons, things, and events in the light of almighty God. Pray, that I may be generous in making sacrifices of temporal things to promote my eternal interests, as you so wisely did.

Set me on fire with a love for Jesus, that I may thirst for His sacraments and burn with zeal for the spread of His kingdom. By your powerful intercession, help me in the performance of my duties to God, myself and all the world.

Win for me the virtue of purity and a great confidence in the Blessed Virgin. Protect me this day, and every day of my life. Keep me from mortal sin. Obtain for me the grace of a happy death. Amen

St. Francis de Sales:
“Veneration of St. Michael is the greatest remedy against despising the rights of God, against insubordination, skepticism and infidelity”

The archangel Saint Michael will lead the fight against Satan during the end times:

Daniel 12:1
But at that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people: and a time shall come such as never was from the time that nations began even until that time. And at that time shall thy people be saved, every one that shall be found written in the book.

On St. Michael the Archangel
by St. Alphonsus De Liguori

Among the angels in heaven none surpasses St. Michael in glory; and according to St. Basil and others, there is none that equals him: and with good reason, because St. Michael was chosen to subdue the pride of Lucifer and of all the rebel angels, and to expel them from heaven. Christian, if thou lovest this archangel, who has such great love for men, rejoice at the glory which he enjoys in heaven; and beseech him, that, as he is the protector of the whole Church and of all the faithful, he will be thy special protector with God, who loves him so much, and who rejoices in beholding one who is so faithful to him and so zealous for His honour, so much glorified by all.

In the Mass for the dead, the Church prays: "Let the standard bearer, St. Michael, bring them into the holy light." The learned explain this prayer, and say that St. Michael has the honourable office of presenting to Jesus Christ the Judge, all the souls that depart out of this world in the grace of God. Protect me, therefore, O holy archangel, and by your protection enable my soul to become worthy of being presented by your hands on the day of my death, ornamented with divine grace, before my Judge Jesus Christ.

Again, the Holy Church prays to St. Michael in the name of all the faithful, to defend us from the assaults of the wicked enemy at the hour of our death, that we may not be conquered and lose our souls: "Holy St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, that we may not be lost at the dreadful judgment." O holy archangel, the devil has many weapons to employ against me at the hour of my death; these weapons are my sins, by which he will then endeavour to throw me into despair; he is also preparing furious assaults of temptations to cause me then to fall again into sin. You, who conquered him and expelled him from heaven, conquer him again for me, and drive him far away from me at the hour of my death; I beseech you to grant this my prayer for the love of that God who so much loves you, and whom you so much love. O Mary, Queen of heaven, procure for me the assistance of St. Michael at the hour of my death. Amen

Titus 3:10-11 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, Avoid: Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.

Cupich's Creed: “I do not believe in One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such boasters are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.  So it is not strange if his ministers also disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness. Their end will match their deeds.

After criticism from faithful bishops, Cupich is doubling down on honoring Sen. Dick Durbin, who has supported partial-birth abortion and LGBT ideology.

Matthew 18:17  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the Church: but if he neglect to hear the Church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a Publican.

Titus 3:10-11 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:  Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.

Luke 10: 16. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

Obstinacy in rejecting Revealed Truth

According to the tradition dating back to St. Augustine (30), this obstinacy constitutes—an essential characteristic of heresy.  “will to resist the Catholic doctrine or the Church that teaches it”

CYRIL OF ALEXANDRIA. Whereby He teaches, that whatever is said by the holy Apostles must be received, since he who heareth them heareth Christ, and an inevitable punishment therefore hangs over heretics who neglect the words of the Apostles; for it follows, and he who despises you despises me.

By defying God's natural law and Catholic morality, and by choosing evil and death, Cupich has broken the unity with his fellow bishops. According to the CDF Cupich is “no longer in full communion with the Catholic Church”

Canon 188§4 states: "All offices shall be vacant ipso facto, by tacit resignation in the following cases… (4) If a cleric has publicly lapsed from the Catholic Faith."

Cardinal Caffarra: “We are no longer witnesses, but deserters, if we do not speak openly and publicly”
During the last week, ten bishops have publicly rebuked Blase Cupich.

· Bishop Thomas Paprocki (Springfield): the decision “risks causing grave scandal.”
· Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone (San Francisco): “This is a source of great consternation and scandal.”
· Bishop James Conley (Lincoln): “deeply disappointing and confusing.”
· Bishop James Wall (Gallup): “creates confusion and division.”
· Bishop David Ricken (Green Bay): “a grave mistake.”
· Bishop Carl Kemme (Wichita): “This award is inappropriate and scandalous.”
· Bishop Michael Olson (Fort Worth): “sends the wrong message to the faithful.”

#10: Archbishop Naumann Accuses Blase Cupich of ‘Pastoral Neglect’ and “scandal” for Honoring radical pro-abortion, pro-LGBT Democrat senator

Phil Lawler: If Cardinal Cupich cannot explain the Church’s teaching on the dignity of human life, he should not be a metropolitan archbishop. (And as a matter of fact, since he is over the age of 75, his resignation should already be on the Pope’s desk.)

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

AUGUSTINE.e I ask then how we shall understand this, I will not judge, but the word which I have spoken will judge? Yet He Himself is the Word of the Father which speaketh. Is it thus? I will not judge by My human power, as the Son of man, but as the word of God, because I am the Son of God. (Catena Aurea)

"He who possesses my words yet spurns them earns his own judgement on the last day" (The Imitation of Christ, 3.3) is a paraphrase of a verse spoken by Jesus Christ in the Bible, found in John 12:48. In this passage, Jesus explains that those who reject His teachings and do not accept His words will be judged by those same words on the final day.
«Write my words in your heart and study them diligently, for they will be absolutely necessary in the time of temptation. Whatever you fail to understand in reading my words will become clear to you on the day of your visitation.
He who possesses my words yet spurns them earns his own judgment on the last day (The Imitation of Christ, 3.3).

JEROME. That He says, As a heathen and a publican, shews that he is to be more abhorred, who under the name of a believer does the deeds of an unbeliever, than those that are openly gentiles. Those He calls publicans, who pursue worldly gain, and levy contributions by trading, cheating, and villainous frauds, and perjuries.

Cupich defies and contradicts divine natural law. He attacks the Deposit of Faith.

PROFESSION OF FAITH (vatican.va)
— The text of the «Profession of Faith and the Oath of fidelity when assuming an office to be exercised in the name of the Church», published by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, on January 9, 1989 (AAS 81 [1989] 104-106).
"I also firmly accept and hold each and everything definitively proposed by the Church regarding teaching on faith and morals."
Canon 598 – § 1. Those things are to be believed by divine and catholic faith which are contained in the word of God as it has been written or handed down by tradition, that is, in the single deposit of faith entrusted to the Church, and which are at the same time proposed as divinely revealed either by the solemn Magisterium of the Church, or by its ordinary and universal Magisterium, which in fact is manifested by the common adherence of Christ’s faithful under the guidance of the sacred Magisterium. All Christian faithful are therefore bound to avoid any contrary doctrines.
§ 2. Furthermore, each and everything set forth definitively by the Magisterium of the Church regarding teaching on faith and morals must be firmly accepted and held; namely, those things required for the holy keeping and faithful exposition of the deposit of faith; therefore, anyone who rejects propositions which are to be held definitively sets himself against the teaching of the Catholic Church.

«St. Thomas teaches that jurisdiction "does not remain" in heretics. Likewise, as pointed out by the Angelic Doctor, St. Cyprian teaches that these non-Catholics "cannot have episcopal power." Pope Leo XIII (Satis Cognitum) teaches that "…it is absurd to imagine that he who is outside can command in the Church." St. Robert Bellarmine teaches the same thing: "it is proven with arguments from authority and from reason that the manifest heretic is ipso facto deposed. The argument from authority is based on St. Paul (Titus, c. 3), who orders that the heretic be avoided after two warnings, that is, after showing himself to be manifestly obstinate - which means before any excommunication or judicial sentence. And this is what St. Jerome writes, adding that the other sinners are excluded from the Church by sentence of excommunication, but the heretics exile themselves and separate themselves by their own act from the body of Christ." Canon 2314: "All apostates from the Christian faith and each and every heretic or schismatic incur the following penalties: (1) ipso facto excommunication.
