Stable homosexual unions are more serious and sinful because they harden the sinner in vice and lead them to impenitence

Chilean author José Antonio Ureta noticed on FatimaTragedyHope.info (
March 18) that the recent Vatican document against homosex "blessings" fails to state that “stable homosex unions are more serious and sinful than sporadic ones" because they harden the sinner in vice and lead them to impenitence.

The document even praises the presence of "positive elements" in such relationships which are in themselves to be "valued."

Ureta is disappointed that the document leaves out the aggravating factor, “that such relationships constitute a ‘grave depravity’ and a sin that ‘cries out to heaven’.”

St. Peter Damian, wrote to Pope St. Leo IX in the 11th century imploring him to save the Church from “sodomitic filth that insinuates itself like a cancer in the ecclesiastical order, or rather like a bloodthirsty beast rampaging through the flock of Christ.”

EdwardPentin: Ureta regrets the CDF document’s praise of “positive elements” in stable same-sex unions which, he says, actually “harden the sinner in vice”; plus its omission to say such relationships constitute a “grave depravity” and sins that “cry out to heaven” (Catechism no. 2357 / 1867)

Jude 7 Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural lust, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

“Someone who lives practicing the vice of sodomy will suffer more pain in Hell than anyone else, because this the worst sin that exists.” — St. Bernardine of Siena
