Autocratic Style: Jorge Mario Bergoglio was made Jesuit Provincial at the young age of 36. However, he increased an already existing split among the Argentinean Jesuits with his autocratic style according to Paul Vallely writing for newsweek.com. So deep was the division that one Jesuit wrote privately, on the eve of the papal election, that a Bergoglio papacy would be “a catastrophe” for the Church, concluding: “We have spent two decades trying to fix the chaos that the man left us.” Gloria.TV News
