Sacred Heart of Jesus, King of love and mercy, today we lift our voices as a nation to consecrate ourselves once again to You. We offer to You, Lord, every corner of Colombia: its mountains, its rivers, its fields, its cities, and above all, the heart of each one of Your children who dwell in this blessed land.
We remember with gratitude that day in 1902, when the Archbishop of Bogotá, Bernardo Herrera Restrepo, consecrated Colombia to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the first time, entrusting our nation to Your love and protection. Today, more than a century later, aware of that spiritual legacy that shaped our history, we come before You once again to renew our national consecration with faith, hope, and humility.
We ask You, Lord Jesus Christ, to enlighten with Your wisdom and with the strength of Your Holy Spirit our next leader, so that he may exercise his authority with righteousness, with fear of God, and with deep respect for Your eternal laws. May his leadership guide Colombia to grow in holiness, in justice, and in fidelity to the truth. May our country, under Your protection, rise again like the phoenix, renewed in hope, strength, and unity.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we implore You to bring an end to violence, drug trafficking, kidnappings, organized crime, and the insecurity that wounds both our urban and rural regions. May Your peace descend upon our homeland like a gentle dew that heals, restores, and transforms. May justice flourish where there is pain today, and may life be respected and defended in all its dignity.
Lord, lead every Colombian back to the Catholic roots that shaped our identity as a nation. Rekindle in us the faith of our fathers, the devotion of our grandparents, and the hope of those who dream of a holier, more just, and more fraternal country.
Bless every Colombian home, so that it may be an example of virtue, love, forgiveness, and holiness. May families become schools of faith, refuges of peace, and beacons of light in the midst of the world’s darkness.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Lord and King of Colombia, in You we trust, in You we hope, to You we consecrate ourselves. May Your will be our guide and Your love our shield.
Amen.
