Gloria TV News: Speaking to homosexual propaganda outlet LaStampa.it (11 January), Fernández defended his 1998 book «Pasión Mística», in which he gives readers detailed information about sexual organs and orgasms.

“The book doesn't contain theological errors, but I asked for it to be withdrawn and today I would write it differently because some passages, taken out of context, could lead to misunderstandings,“ he pontificated without admitting any mistake.

Among crude descriptions of sexual lust, Tucho claims in the book that "God's grace" doesn't mean that someone who engages in homosexual sin will necessarily stop. In the book he also imagines a kissing session between an underage girl and "Jesus".

Asked about his homosexual propaganda piece "Sodoma Supplicans", Tucho protests that "spontaneous blessings" of sin cannot be sacrilegious or blasphemous because they "do not sanction, qualify, authorise or approve" anything. The problem is that such a "blessing" only exists in Tucho's mind.

With hatred in his heart, he attacks African Catholics: "For me, on the other hand, it would be sacrilege or blasphemy to receive communion with hatred in my heart, or to accept that a person should be imprisoned or murdered simply because of his [homo] sexual orientation". The misleading expression "sexual orientation" is a homosexual battle term.

Regarding the 15-second limit for his "spontaneous blessing", Tucho claimed, after realising the damage he had caused, that "I knew that we [= Francis/Fernández] would be ridiculed for this 15-second detail, but I took the risk to make it clear that with these blessings the world does not fall apart". Certainly, little Tucho will not be able to make the "world" fall apart but he is gravely damaging the Church.

Asked about the great divisions he is causing in the Church, Fernández mocked the faithful: "It is not that these documents cause divisions, they simply bring them out. They bring sincerity". Any schismatic would say the same.

Tucho: «It made sense in a moment of dialogue with young couples who wanted to better understand the spiritual meaning of their relationships, but soon after I thought it could be misinterpreted.»

Victor's history of having written heretical books disqualifies him as Prefect for the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith because precisely one of the functions of the Congregation is to condemn heretical books or contrary to morality.

Archbishop Víctor Manuel Fernández has responded to criticism from what he termed “anti-Francis groups” of a book he wrote as a priest in the mid-1990s called “Heal Me With Your Mouth: The Art of Kissing.”

Writing on his personal Facebook page on July 3, Fernández said the book was written as “a pastor’s catechesis for teens” and “not a theology book.”

~~Pope~~ Francis appointed Fernández, the archbishop of La Plata, Argentina, the new prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The theologian will take up the Vatican post in September.

As ~~Pope~~ Francis’ newest Vatican appointment, Fernández has faced significant criticism, including over the 1995 work, which is no longer included in most official lists of the archbishop’s publications.

Fernández, who has over 10,000 followers on Facebook, said there are “anti-Francis groups that are outraged [at my appointment], and they get to use unethical means to harm me.”

Attacks against the 79-page book on kissing, the archbishop said, “come from Catholics in the United States” who do not know Spanish and mis-translate one of the text’s poems.

Fernández has also faced criticism from BishopAccountability.org, a U.S.-based group that tracks sexual abuse by clergy.

For, lest they should lose their dominion, temporal rulers, kings and princes will range themselves on the side of Antichrist. In like manner, prelates for fear of losing their dignities, and religious and priests to gain honors and riches, will forsake the Faith of Christ and adhere to Antichrist.

Neither living nor lifeless faith remains in a heretic who disbelieves one article of faith. The reason of this is that the species of every habit depends on the formal aspect of the object, without which the species of the habit cannot remain. Now the formal object of faith is the First Truth, as manifested in Holy Writ and the teaching of the Church, which proceeds from the First Truth. Consequently whoever does not adhere, as to an infallible and Divine rule, to the teaching of the Church, which proceeds from the First Truth manifested in Holy Writ, has not the habit of faith, but holds that which is of faith otherwise than by faith. Even so, it is evident that a man whose mind holds a conclusion without knowing how it is proved, has not scientific knowledge, but merely an opinion about it. Now it is manifest that he who adheres to the teaching of the Church, as to an infallible rule, assents to whatever the Church teaches; otherwise, if, of the things taught by the Church, he holds what he chooses to hold, and rejects what he chooses to reject, he no longer adheres to the teaching of the Church as to an infallible rule, but to his own will. Hence it is evident that a heretic who obstinately disbelieves one article of faith, is not prepared to follow the teaching of the Church in all things; but if he is not obstinate, he is no longer in heresy but only in error. Therefore it is clear that such a heretic with regard to one article has no faith in the other articles, but only a kind of opinion in accordance with his own will. (Saint Thomas Aquinas.
