St. Ambrose:
“Even heretics appear to possess Christ, for none of them denies the name of Christ. Still, anyone who does not confess everything that pertains to Christ does in fact deny Christ.”
Saint Augustin, de Haer: [The error of the heretics about Christ is limited to three areas: They err either about his divinity, or his humanity, or the two together.]
In the class struggle of Marxist liberation pseudo-theology, against the biblical God and the Church, the goal is to change the meaning of Christianity. For them, it is necessary to reinterpret Scripture and give it a new meaning, a new praxis, because they believe that Scripture, which does not have a Marxist political purpose, has been a means of oppression used by the Church.
Preliminary Notes on Liberation Theology by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger
Liberation theology intends to supply a new total interpretation of the Christian reality; it explains Christianity as a praxis of liberation and sees itself as the guide to this praxis. However, since in its view all reality is political, liberation is also a political concept and the guide to liberation must he a guide to political action:
“Nothing lies outside ... political commitment. Everything has a political color.” A theology that is not “practical”; i.e., not essentially political, is regarded as “idealistic" and thus as lacking in reality, or else it is condemned as a vehicle for the oppressors' maintenance of power.
Ultimately anyone who participates in the class struggle is a member of the “people” the “Church of the people” becomes the antagonist of the hierarchical Church.
Finally the concept “history” becomes a crucial interpretative category. The view, accepted as scientifically certain and incontrovertible, that the Bible speaks exclusively in terms of salvation history (and thus, antimetaphysically), facilitates the fusing of the biblical horizon with the marxist idea of history, which progresses in a dialectical manner and is the real bringer of salvation. History is accordingly a process of progressive liberation; history is the real revelation and hence the real interpreter of the Bible. Sometimes this dialectic of progress is supported by pneumatology. In any case the latter also makes a teaching office which insists on abiding truths into an authority inimical to progress, thinking “metaphysically” and hence contradicting "history". We can say that the concept of history swallows up the concepts of God and of Revelation. The "historicality" of the Bible must justify its absolute dominance and thus legitimize the' transition to materialist-marxist philosophy, in which history has taken over the role of God.
St. Peter warned that those who maliciously twist the Scriptures weave their own condemnation:
2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
Modernist heretic Robert Prevost reinterprets another miracle of Jesus according to his personal opinion.
Caution, Prevost Speaks:The Gospel account of the deaf man who had a speech impediment shows Jesus' understanding of “what lies behind the silence and closure of this man, as if Jesus had perceived his need for intimacy and closeness.”
“Jesus offers him silent closeness,” touches him and says, "Ephphatha!” that is, "Be opened!”
“It is as if Jesus were saying to him, 'Be opened to this world that frightens you! Be opened to the relationships that have disappointed you! Be opened to the life you have given up facing!' Closing in on oneself, in fact, is never a solution,” he said.
When the Serpent denied God's command, he resorted to seduction. If Prevost had delivered the message to give advice to young people who are isolated by the bombardment of social media without relativizing Jesus' miracle, it would have been acceptable. The problem is that he relativized Jesus' miracle and gave it a humanistic explanation. The Church has condemned rationalism and humanism.
2 Peter 2:2 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
Vatican Council I (Ecumenical XX)
Kasper Denies Miracles
He calls them “legends” and non-historical “narratives.”
If we examine the German apostate Walter Kasper, we see that this schismatic heretical sect follows the same line. Kasper denies that Christ is God and claims that He was a product of a previously accepted mythical mentality. They deny the infallibility of the Church, meaning that these pseudo-enlightened believe they are above Scripture and the Church.
Pope Leo XIII
Interpretations which oppose the teaching of the Church are senseless and falseWherefore, it is clear that that interpretation must be rejected as senseless and false, which either makes inspired authors in some manner quarrel among themselves, or opposes the teaching of the Church. . . . (Denzinger-Hünermann 3283. Leo XIII, Encyclical Providentissimus Deus, November 18, 1893)
Jesus heal a deaf and dumb man Mark 7:31-37
“He has done everything well,” they said.
“He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
Bede (Catena Aurea): But that which He says, “Ephphatha, that is, Be opened,” belong properly to the ears, for the ears are to be opened for hearing, but the tongue to be loosed from the bonds of its impediment, that is may be able to speak. Wherefore it goes on, “And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.”Where each nature of one and the same Christ is manifestly distinct, looking up indeed into Heaven as man, praying unto God, He groaned, but presently with one word, as being strong in the Divine Majesty, He healed. It goes on, “And He charged them that they should tell no man.”
Bede: He looked up to heaven, that He might teach us that thence is to be procured speech for the dumb, hearing for the deaf, health for all who are sick. And He sighed, not that it was necessary for Him to be any thing from His Father with groaning, for He, together with the Father, gives all things to them who ask, but that He might give us an example of sighing, when for our own errors and those of our neighbours, we invoke the guardianship of the Divine mercy.
Bede: Or he is deaf and dumb, who neither has ears to hear the words of God, nor opens his mouth to speak them, and such must be presented to the Lord for healing, by men who have already learned to hear and speak the divine oracles.
Pseudo-Jerome: But he who deserves to be healed is always drawn aside from turbulent thoughts, disorderly actions, and disorderly speech. And the fingers which are put into the ears are the words and the gifts of the Holy Ghost, of whom it is said, “This is the finger of God.” [Exo_8:19; Luk_11:20]. The spittle is heavenly wisdom, which loosens the sealed lips of the human race, so that it can say, I believe in God, the Father Almighty, and the rest of the Creed. “And looking up to heaven, he groaned,” that is, He taught us to groan, and to raise up the treasures of our hearts to the heavens; because by the groaning of hearty compunction, the silly joy of the flesh is purged away. But the ears are opened to hymns, and songs, and psalms; and He looses the tongue, that it may pour forth the good word, which neither threats nor stripes can restrain.
Pseudo-Chrys., Vict. Ant. e Cat. in Marc.: He takes the deaf and dumb man who was brought to Him apart from the crowd, that He might not do His divine miracles openly; teaching us to cast away vain glory and swelling of heart, for no one can work miracles as he can, who loves humility and is lowly in his conduct. But He puts His fingers into his ears, when He might have cured him with a word, to shew that His body, being united to Deity, was consecrated by Divine virtue, with all that He did. For since on account of the transgression of Adam, human nature had incurred much suffering and hurt in its members and senses, Christ coming into the world shewed the perfection of human nature in Himself, and on this account opened ears, with His fingers, and gave the power of speech by His spittle. Wherefore it goes on, “And spit, and touched his tongue.”
Pseudo-Jerome: Mystically, Tyre is interpreted, narrowness, and signifies Judaea, to which the Lord said, “For the bed is grown too narrow,” [Isa_28:20] and from which He turns Himself to the Gentiles. Sidon means, hunting, for our race is like an untamed beast, and “sea”, which means a wavering inconstancy. Again, the Saviour comes to save the Gentiles in the midst of the coasts of Decapolis, which may be interpreted, as the commands of the Decalogue. Further, the human race throughout its many members is reckoned as one man, eaten up by varying pestilence, in the first created man; it is blinded, that is, its eye is evil; it becomes deaf, when it listens to, and dumb when it speaks, evil. And they prayed Him to lay His hand upon him, because many just men, and patriarchs, wished and longed for the time when the Lord should come in the flesh.
Ambrose of Milan: So open your ears and enjoy the good odor of eternal life which has been breathed upon you by the grace of the sacraments. This we pointed out to you as we celebrated the mystery of the opening and said: “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened,” so that everyone about to come to the table of grace might know what he was asked and remember the way he once responded. Christ celebrated this mystery in the Gospel, as we read, when he healed the one who was deaf and dumb.
Ambrose of Milan: Every sabbath we witness the “opening up” of a mystery. It is in outline form the type of that liturgical opening when the minister once touched your ears and nostrils. What does this mean? Remember in the Gospel, our Lord Jesus Christ, when the deaf and dumb man was presented to him, touched his ears and his mouth: the ears, because he was deaf; the mouth, because he was dumb. And he said: “Ephphatha,” a Hebrew word, which in Latin means adaperire [be opened]. In this way the minister is now touching your ears, that your ears may be opened to this sermon and exhortation.
Commented Bible by Monsignor Juan Straubinger: “The tradition that is valid for the Church is the one that has its origin in divine revelation, that is, in the preaching of Jesus Christ himself and of the apostles, "so that the absolute and immutable truth preached from the beginning by the apostles may always be believed in the same way” (Pius X in the oath focuses on the modernists)
The Oath Against Modernism: The purpose of this is, then, not that dogma may be tailored according to what seems better and more suited to the culture of each age; rather, that the absolute and immutable truth preached by the apostles from the beginning may never be believed to be different, may never be understood in any other way.
Monsignor Carlos Vigano denounced the “Luciferian pride” with which apostate and gay activist James Martin maliciously twists Scripture to promote sodomy.
Romanos 1:22 Although they claimed to be wise, in reality they became fools.
@CarloMVigano
This propagandist of vice, James Martin - like the heretic Spadaro, a member of the same Society - instead of interpreting the true meaning of the “Veni foras" (Jn 11, 43) to indicate the need to abandon sin and be reborn in Christ, blasphemously uses the words of Our Lord to legitimize LGBTQ+ sodomy and pansexualism.
Heretics always behave in the same way: they interpret the Holy Scriptures according to their own deviated will, instead of conforming their behavior to the will of God.
And it is this, ultimately, which reveals - jam fœtet - their Luciferian pride.
Romans 1:28 Furthermore, since these people did not see fit to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their depraved way of thinking and to all types of vile behavior.
