Socci: Bergoglio is not acting as the Vicar of Christ, but as an agent of Peking

Bergoglio does not react as a pastor, a father, a Vicar of Christ, but rather as a politician.

Socci makes other cogent observations worth reading. His editorial can be summed up as an Italian way of asking the question and answering it at the same time: Who put you in power? is proven by whom you serve when in power.

Bergoglio has left the control of the churches in the hands of anti-Catholic governments.

Coronavirus: "Outgoing Church" And "Field Hospital" Have Evaporated

en.news The "outgoing church has barricaded itself in the Vatican because of the coronavirus," Antonio Socci observed (March 9):

"No more bridges, but walls" behind which Francis, cardinals and monsignors have hidden themselves.

Socci observes that "Bergoglio said that the shepherds must take the scent of the sheep, but he and the shepherds have run away and now they are well away from the sheep and their breath".

For Socci, this is "the great hypocrisy of the 'progressive church'."

He also remembers the Bergoglio slogan of the "Church as a field hospital" but as soon as the epidemic broke out, "the traces of this hospital were lost".

The churches in Italy have been closed, "The country that is the center of Christianity will remain totally, and for days, without mass.

The message that has reached the people is terrible: it teaches that in misfortune it is better to leave God behind, "because he is of no use".

Bergoglio refuses to call secular governments to repent and obey Divine Authority.

Saint Gregory the Great understood that the Coronavirus of his time was a chastisement from God, and encouraged the faithful to repent of their sins and pray for deliverance

The proper valuing of the things of earth: God has given us this world as a place of exile, and not as our abiding place:
The things of earth cannot be understood or valued aright without taking into consideration the life to come, the life that will know no death. Exclude the idea of futurity, and forthwith the very notion of what is good and right would perish; nay, the whole scheme of the universe would become a dark and unfathomable mystery. The great truth which we learn from nature herself is also the grand Christian dogma on which religion rests as on its foundation – that, when we have given up this present life, then shall we really begin to live. God has not created us for the perishable and transitory things of earth, but for things heavenly and everlasting; He has given us this world as a place of exile, and not as our abiding place. Saint John Chrysostom, in Saint Thomas Aquinas's *Catena Aurea*, explains that tolerating offenses against God constitutes the pinnacle of impiety.
In Scripture, impiety is a serious sin that is closely related to idolatry and contempt for God. It is considered such a serious sin that it is frequently described as an abomination. Impiety (ungodliness) includes idol worship, idolatry, bearing false witness, lying, blasphemy, and immoral conduct. The Sin of Impiety is a sin of Malice. The Sin of Malice is considered a sin of Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Saint Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274) Commenting upon Saint Paul’s Epistle to the Romans (1:26-27), Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Angelic Doctor, explains why the sin of homosexuality is so grave: "Given the sin of impiety through which they [the Romans] sinned against the divine nature [by idolatry], the punishment that led them to sin against their own nature followed.... I say, therefore, that since they changed into lies [by idolatry] the truth about God, He brought them to ignominious passions, that is, to sins against nature; not that God led them to evil, but only that he abandoned them to evil.... "If all the sins of the flesh are worthy of condemnation because by them man allows himself to be dominated by that which he has of the animal nature, much more deserving of condemnation are the sins against nature by which man degrades his own animal nature....

Pope Leo XIII's Rerum Novarum (1891) addresses the social implications of industrialization and the role of women in society. He states that "women are not suited for certain occupations," emphasizing that "a woman is by nature fitted for home-work, and it is that which is best adapted at once to preserve her modesty and to promote the good bringing up of children and the well-being of the family." This reflects the Pope's views on the traditional roles of women in the home and the importance of family responsibilities

The Church's ultimate trial 675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.

Our Lord having reproached the Jews with blindness, they might have said, We are not blind, but we avoid you as a deceiver. Our Lord therefore gives the marks which distinguish a robber and deceiver from a true shepherd. First come those of the deceiver and robber: Verily, verily, I say to you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. There is an allusion here to Antichrist, and to certain false Christs who had been, and were to be. The Scriptures He calls the door. They admit us to the knowledge of God, they protect the sheep, they shut out the wolves, they bar the entrance to heretics. He that uses not the Scriptures, but climbs up some other way, i.e. some self-chosen, some unlawful way, is a thief. Climbs up, He says, not, enters, as if it were a thief getting over a wall, and running all risks. Some other way, may refer too to the commandments and traditions of men which the Scribes taught, to the neglect of the Law. When our Lord further on calls Himself the Door, we need not be surprised. According to the office which He bears, He is in one place the Shepherd, in another the Sheep. In that He introduces us to the Father, He is the Door, in that He takes care of us, He is the Shepherd. St. Vincent Ferrer -- Sermon on the Last Judgment: In the same way, in the time of Antichrist, the Sun of justice will be obscured by the interposition of temporal goods and the wealth which Antichrist will bestow on the world, inasmuch as the brightness of faith in Jesus Christ and the glow of good lives will no longer shine among Christians. For, lest they should lose their dominion, temporal rulers, kings and princes will range themselves on the side of Antichrist. In like manner, prelates for fear of losing their dignities, and religious and priests to gain honors and riches, will forsake the Faith of Christ and adhere to Antichrist.

Neither living nor lifeless faith remains in a heretic who disbelieves one article of faith. The reason of this is that the species of every habit depends on the formal aspect of the object, without which the species of the habit cannot remain. Now the formal object of faith is the First Truth, as manifested in Holy Writ and the teaching of the Church, which proceeds from the First Truth. Consequently whoever does not adhere, as to an infallible and Divine rule, to the teaching of the Church, which proceeds from the First Truth manifested in Holy Writ, has not the habit of faith, but holds that which is of faith otherwise than by faith. Even so, it is evident that a man whose mind holds a conclusion without knowing how it is proved, has not scientific knowledge, but merely an opinion about it. Now it is manifest that he who adheres to the teaching of the Church, as to an infallible rule, assents to whatever the Church teaches; otherwise, if, of the things taught by the Church, he holds what he chooses to hold, and rejects what he chooses to reject, he no longer adheres to the teaching of the Church as to an infallible rule, but to his own will. Hence it is evident that a heretic who obstinately disbelieves one article of faith, is not prepared to follow the teaching of the Church in all things; but if he is not obstinate, he is no longer in heresy but only in error. Therefore it is clear that such a heretic with regard to one article has no faith in the other articles, but only a kind of opinion in accordance with his own will. (Saint Thomas Aquinas.
